Referral Program

Every account gets a referral code. Someone uses yours to subscribe to Thrive on the web, they save 30% on their first year, and you get a free month.

Find it under Settings → Referral Program, or in the side menu.

How it works

You already have a code. Every account is assigned one when it's created — there's nothing to apply for.

They save 30%. When they pick a plan, they tap Have a code? at web checkout and enter your code — the discount shows on the price before they pay. It isn't applied automatically; the code has to be entered.

They have to subscribe on the web. Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play can't take a code, so a friend who upgrades inside the app won't get the 30% and there's no way to apply it afterwards. The share message says where to subscribe, and it's worth repeating when you send the code.

It has to be their first subscription. The code won't apply for someone who has subscribed before, and each person can only be referred once.

You get a free month of Thrive when they subscribe. Not when they enter the code or create an account: signing up is free, so the reward is tied to the purchase. It usually lands within a day.

There's no cap on this — the months stack, so ten friends who subscribe is ten free months.

Your code

Your referral code is on the Referral Program screen. Tap Share your code to hand it off to your device's normal share sheet — messages, email, wherever — or tap the code to copy it.

Your stats

The screen tracks three numbers:

Referrals — how many people have subscribed with your code.

Days earned — free Thrive time you've been given so far.

Pending — free days you've earned that haven't been added yet. Nothing is lost while days sit here.

What the free month is worth to you

Four cases, and the screen shows you whichever one is yours rather than implying otherwise.

You don't subscribe. The month arrives as free Thrive access, added automatically, usually within a day. It's the case where the reward is worth the most.

You subscribe on the web. Your renewal moves a month later, at no charge and with nothing billed twice.

Subscribed through the App Store or Google Play. You can still share, and your friend still gets their 30%. Free time can't be added to a subscription the app store bills, so your days are held and applied if you move to web billing. The referral is never lost.

You hold a lifetime purchase. There is no renewal to extend and nothing left to unlock, so no month accrues to you — the screen says so. Your friend still gets their 30% off, and the referral discount itself never applies to a lifetime purchase.

Who to share it with

Anyone who has been meaning to sort their finances out and keeps putting it off. Free is a real plan, so they lose nothing by trying it — see Free vs. Thrive — and if they upgrade you both come out ahead.

The rules

You need an account in good standing. No referring yourself and no accounts you control. Rewards are credit toward Thrive — they have no cash value and can't be transferred or cashed out. If a referred subscription is refunded or reversed, the reward it earned may be reversed too.

The full terms are in the Terms of Service, and the program is summarized on the referral page.
