Using the Library
The Library is where BetterBudgets keeps its guides, blog posts, and video series. Everything in it is free on both plans.
Where to find it
Tap Library in the bottom bar. You can also reach it from Settings, under Support.
The shelves
The Library opens on a set of shelves:
- ›Pick up where you left off — anything you started and haven't finished
- ›New this week, or Start here if you're new
- ›A shelf each for Guides, Blog Posts, and every video series: Breakdowns, Feature Highlights, Topics, Reactions, and Replies
Tap See all on any shelf to open the full list.
Finding something
The filter bar narrows what you see:
- ›All, Watch, Read, or Saved
- ›A chip for each series
- ›Search, which looks through titles and summaries
- ›Sort by newest, oldest, A–Z, or Z–A
Opening something
Tap a card to open its page. The main button picks up where you stopped: Resume at 2:31 for a video, Resume on page 7 for a guide, or Open if you haven't started. Below it is Up next from the same shelf, and Save keeps it in your Saved list.
Videos
Videos play in a vertical feed. Swipe up for the next one.
- ›Press and hold to play faster
- ›Slide down while holding to lock the faster speed; tap to unlock it
When you play a shelf as a feed, it starts at the first video you haven't finished.
Guides and blog posts
Guides open in a reader you can share from. Blog posts open in a reader inside the app, so you don't leave BetterBudgets.
Progress and saves
Cards show how much is left, such as 4 min left, and a video counts as Watched once you're nearly through it. Your progress and your saved items are tied to your account, so they follow you to another device.
